Putri is in the right of me

Hi Gengs, kemarin sore pada tanggal 21 Mei 2020, aku dan Gendatz berkunjung kerumah Putri untuk berbuka puasa bersama. Siapa sih Putri? Nah, Putri adalah salah satu siswi di SD Juara yang mendapatkan pendidikan gratis, dikarenakan Putri adalah salah satu siswi yang tergolong dhuafa. Gadis cilik nan cerdas ini tinggal bersama bunda dan adik lelakinya disebuah rumah kecil berukuran 4x4 meter persegi.

Hi Gengs, yesterday on May 21^st, 2020, Gendatz and I visited the Putri's house to break the fast together. Who is Putri? Well, Putri is one of the students at Juara Primary School who gets free education fee because Putri is one of the dhuafa (poor people). This smart little girl lives with her mother and younger brother in a small 4x4 square meter house.

Wait! Ada cerita dibalik berbuka puasa bersama ini. Kita flashback dulu ya gengs sebentar. Pada tanggal 9 Mei 2020, aku berinisiatif untuk membagikan sembako dari donatur kepada beberapa murid SD Juara bersama Gendatz dan Kak Pandhu – salah satu staff di SD Juara. Sekitar pukul 9.00 pagi, aku dan Gendatz membeli 5 paket sembako di Gross Mart Piayu. Setelah itu Kak Pandhu mengantarkan kami kerumah-rumah yang dituju – dari rumah Rhabil & Balqis, Tungga, Putri, Arul, dan terakhir kami berkunjung ke rumah Asyifa. Kelima anak ini sudah tidak mempunyai ayah lagi untuk menemani perjalanan hidup mereka. Hanya ibu tunggal yang sekaligus menjadi ayah untuk mereka – mencari nafkah serabutan agar tetap bisa bertahan hidup dan memperjuangkan cita-cita anak-anak mereka. Dari rumah ke rumah, mendengar cerita perjuangan hidup mereka. Terhanyut sungguh tapi ku tahan air mata agar tak jatuh membasahi pipiku. Di akhir cerita, bunda-bunda ini tersenyum dan menyelipkan guyonan khas ala emak-emak. Oke, kuambil pelajaran hidup disini. Jangan mengeluh! Jangan menyerah! Allah selalu ada dan memberikan jalan keluar disetiap masalahmu. Kamu bisa! Bertahanlah!

Wait! There is a story behind this breaking the fast. Let's do flashback, okay. On May 9^th 2020, I took the initiative to distribute daily need packages from donors to some of Juara Primary School students with Gendatz and Kak Pandhu - one of the staff at Juara Primary School. At around 9:00am, Gendatz and I bought daily need packages in Gross Mart Piayu. Then, Kak Pandhu drove us to the houses we were going to – from the house of Rhabil & Balqis, Tungga, Putri, Arul, and finally we visited Asyifa's house for the last. These five children no longer have father who can accompany their life journey. Only single mothers who at the same time become fathers also to them - looking for odd jobs in order to stay alive and fight for their children’s dreams. From house to house, listening their struggle stories. I felt so melancholy but I kept my tears from falling down on my cheeks. At the end of the story, these mothers smiled and gave a typical mom jokes. Okay, I'm taking life lessons here. Do not complain! Do not give up! Allah is always be there for you and show you the way out in every problem you have. You can! Bear up!

Juara Primary School students and the education volunteers - Miss Icha, kak Sela, and Kak Dwi

Aku pribadi, sayang banget sama anak-anak ini – mereka menggemaskan, aktif, cerdas, dan juga paham akan keadaan keluarganya yang kurang mampu. Mayoritas anak-anak SD Juara merupakan anak yatim dan dhuafa. Disitulah hati ini terpatri untuk mengajar di English Club-nya SD Juara secara sukarela sejak tahun 2017. Aku sangat berterimakasih kepada Pak Shofar (Ex – Kepala Sekolah SD Juara) yang telah mengajak aku ikut andil dalam program pendidikan ini. Tanpa beliau, mungkin aku tak pernah mengenal anak-anak hebat ini. Dan aku ucapkan terimakasih kepada temen-temen yang telah sudi meluangkan waktunya untuk membantuku mengajar Bahasa Inggris untuk mereka, kepada donator juga yang ikhlas menyisihkan uangnya untuk memberikan mereka hadiah dan snack selama belajar mengajar. Anak-anak itu paling suka dikasih snack dan hadiah. Tawa dan senyum mereka pecah sesaat dikelas. Sesederhana itu ya bahagia mereka. Masha Allah.

I personally love these children much - they are adorable, active, smart, and understand the circumstances of their underprivileged families. The majority of Juara Primary School students are orphans and dhuafa. That is why my heart wants to devote in teaching English at English Club of Juara Primary School voluntarily since 2017. I am very grateful to Mr. Shofar (Ex - Principal of Juara Primary School) for inviting me to take a part in this education volunteering program. Without him, maybe I would never know these amazing children. I thank my friends too who have been willing to take their time to help me teaching English for them, to donors who also willingly to give them gifts and snacks during teaching and learning. The children do love to be given snacks and gifts. Their laughter and smile sounded loud breaking the room for a moment. Their happiness is simple as it is. Masha Allah.

Receh Squad - Miss Icha, Kak Gi, and Gendatz

Flashbacknya belum berhenti disitu ya. Kita lanjut lagi. Hahaha. Pada tanggal 16 Mei, Receh Kitchen open PO untuk terakhir kalinya dibulan Ramadhan. Setelah selesei pengantaran, buka puasa, dan sholat maghrib, Receh Squad (Kak Gi, Gendatz, dan aku) seperti biasa, saling berbagi pengalaman hidup dan sampailah aku bercerita ke mereka tentang perjalananku membagikan sembako kepada beberapa anak SD Juara. Mereka begitu menghayati ceritaku. Akhirnya, aku berinisiatif mengajak mereka untuk berbagi bahagia bersama Putri – pada saat itu bundanya menceritakan cerita hidup yang membuatku terdiam membisu mendengarkan. Kak Gi dan Gendatz tanpa ragu mengiyakan ajakanku. Bersyukur banget punya temen-temen seperti mereka. Malaikat-malaikat tak bersayapku. Sayang kalian pokoknya. Peluk cium.

The flashback has not stopped there yet. We continue yach. LOL. On May 16, Receh Kitchen opened PO for the last time in the month of Ramadan. After finishing the delivery, breaking the fast, and performing Maghrib prayer, Receh Squad (Kak Gi, Gendatz, and me) as usual, shared life experiences and I told them about my journey of distributing daily need packages to some Juara Primary School students. They lived my story. Finally, I took the initiative to invite them to share a simple happiness to Putri - at that time, her mother told me a life story that left me speechless listening. Kak Gi and Gendatz unhesitatingly agreed to my invitation. I am very grateful to have friends like them. My wingless angels. Love you much, gengs. Xoxo.

Well, kita balik lagi ke buka puasa bersama Putri. Akhirnya ya kan, cerita yang ditunggu-tunggu dimulai. Kami membawa se-bucket KFC dan lain-lain untuk disantap bersama di rumah Putri. 10 menit sebelum adzan, kami baru tiba dirumahnya karena harus menunggu hujan reda dan pake acara nyasar juga. Hahahaha. Btw, ini kak Gi nggak bisa ikut karena daerah Batu Aji masih hujan lebat. Gini nih Batam gengs, hujannya lokal. Hahaha.

Well, we go back to breaking the fast with Putri. Finally, right, the long-awaited story begins. We brought a bucket of KFC and others to eat together at Putri's house. 10 minutes before adzan, we just arrived at his house because we had to wait for the rain to stop and got lost to find her house. LOL. Btw, kak Gi couldn’t join this agenda because Batu Aji area is still raining heavily. This is Batam, we have a very irritating local rain. LOL.

Sesampai dirumahnya, kami disambut dengan senyum hangat oleh Putri, Taufik – si bontot, dan Bundanya Putri. Kami masuk kerumah dan mulai menghidangkan menu buka puasa. Ada ayam KFC, nasi pulen, sambel cabe setan tomat ala miss Icha (Saus KFC nggak ada rasa pedesnya jadi kurang greget makannya), sayur bening, es kelapa muda, kurma, pudding cokelat, dan semangka. Tetiba, bundanya Putri ijin keluar sebentar dan balik-balik nge-bawa daun pisang, “Makannya pake daun pisang ya kak, nggak ada piring soalnya”. Aku kaget tertegun dalam diam dan Gendatz pun mencoba memecahkan keheningan yang ada, “Nggak apa ibu. Aman. Malah lebih enak makan beralaskan daun pisang.” Aku pun tersenyum merasa tak enak. Baru pertama kali ini gengs, makan KFC beralaskan daun pisang. Enak juga sih dan ada seru-serunya gitu. Hahahaha. Cuma sedikit kaget aja tadi, nggak ada piring, sendok pun cuma ada satu dua. Bayangkan!

Arriving at her house, we were welcomed with a warm smile by Putri, Taufik - the youngest, and the Putri’s mom. We entered the house and began serving an iftar menu. There were KFC chicken, fluffier rice, Sambel with devil chili and tomato ala Miss Icha (KFC sauce has no spicy at all, that's why I made my own spicy sambal), vegetables, young coconut ice, dates, chocolate pudding, and watermelon. Putri’s mom went out a moment and back carrying a banana leaf, "We will eat it on the banana leaf because there is no plate". I was stunned in silence and Gendatz tried to break the silence, "It's okay, mom. Take it easy. It's even tastier to eat on a banana leaf." I smiled feeling uncomfortable. That was the first time eating KFC on banana leaves. It's fine and there's an excitement also. LOL. Just a little shocked earlier, there were no plates; there were only one or two spoons also. Can you imagine it!

Setelah berbuka puasa, kami menuju masjid terdekat untuk melaksanakan sholat maghrib. Bundanya Putri menganjurkan untuk sholat di masjid dikarenakan tidak adanya air dirumah Putri untuk berwudhu. Air bersih didapat oleh Bundanya Putri dari sumur tetangga yang jaraknya cukup jauh dari rumah. Luar biasa tenaga Bundanya Putri ini ya, gengs.

After breaking the fast, we headed to the nearest mosque to perform Maghrib prayers. Putri’s mom suggested praying at the mosque because there was no water at Putri's house to take an ablution. Clean water is got by Putri’s mom from a neighbor's well which is quite far from the house. This is the extraordinary power of Putri’s mom.

Sekitar pukul 19.00, kami bercengkrama di dalam rumah. Cerita dari rumah ini pun membuat ku menganga takjub. Rumah ini dibangun sendiri oleh Bundanya Putri dengan menyusun batu bata satu demi satu. Kalian akan melihat kurang rapinya batu bata itu tersusun tapi menurutku ini keren sih untuk pemula. Ada rasa ingin tahuku muncul dan kutanyakan seketika itu, “Kalo atapnya bunda sendiri juga yang bikin?” Bunda tersenyum dan menjawab, “Bunda minta tolong sama tukang yang mau bunda bayar seratus ribu untuk masang atap itu. Tapi ternyata atap yang Bunda beli kurang, jadinya kalau hujan, rumah banjir. Makanya tempat tidurnya dikelilingi sama plastik jadi kalo hujan masih bisa tidur didalam rumah.” Terkejut untuk kesekian kalinya disini dan membuatku terdiam membisu lagi. Cerita ini seakan-akan menusuk hatiku bertubi-tubi. Perih gengs. Rumah yang beralaskan spanduk-spanduk yang tak terpakai dan juga karpet dari Pasar Second. Dapur yang sungguh kurang memadai, beratapkan spanduk saja.

Around 7:00 pm, we had sharing time in the house. The story of this house also amazed me. This house was built by Putri’s mom herself by arranging bricks one by one. You will see that the bricks are not neatly organized but in my opinion, this is cool for beginners. My curiosity arose and I asked immediately, "Is the rooftop also you who made it?" She smiled and answered, "I asked for help from the craftsman who was willing to be paid 100k rupiahs to install the rooftop. But it is not perfect installed because lacking of asbestos, so when it rains, the house is flooded. That's why the bed is covered by plastic so when it rains, we still can sleep inside the house." I was surprised for the umpteenth times here and made me speechless again. This story seemed to pierce my heart repeatedly. I am very sad, gengs. A house floor which is covered by the unused banners and carpet from the Second Hand Market. The kitchen is inadequate, just roofing by the banners.


You are raised by an outstanding mom and absolutely you will be one also

Bunda menambahkan ceritanya, “Nggak apa-apa dengan keadaan seperti ini, asalkan anak-anak bisa makan dan sekolah. Itu lebih dari cukup.” Nah gengs, Bundanya Putri ini harus berhenti bekerja sebagai penusuk sate dikarenakan omset penjualan sate berkurang. Alhamdulillahnya, masih bisa bekerja sebagai tukang sapu di SD Juara yang digaji per bulan sekitar 300rb. Kalau aku sih, 300rb nggak kemana lah ya kan dalam sehari dua hari. Apabila Bundanya Putri kehabisan sembako, bunda sering meminta sembako ke teman dekatnya yang kebetulan juga janda. Intinya saling tolong menolong dalam keadaan susah ataupun senang.

Putri’s mom continued her story, "It's okay with this current condition, as long as my children can eat and study at school. It is more than enough." Btw, Putri’s mom should stop working as a satay skewer because the sales turnover is reduced drastically. But alhamdulillah, she still work as a sweeper in Juara Primary School and paid around 300k rupiahs per month. For me, 300k rupiahs will run out for a week only or sometimes less than a week. When Putri’s mom runs out of food, she often asks for food to her close friend who is widow also. The point is helping each in difficult or happy times.

All praise belongs to Allah. This is how we say to thank Allah for everything.

Aku pribadi, sangat salut mendengarkan cerita dari Bundanya Putri ini. Dari sinilah kita harus banyak bersyukur karena bisa hidup lebih baik – tidur nyenyak dikasur empuk, punya piring dan sendok untuk makan, atap rumah yang kokoh dan nggak kemasukan air kalau hujan, makan cukup, dan banyak lagi yang bisa kita syukuri setiap harinya. Nah, sudah saatnya kita membuka mata untuk menolong sesama. Ini nih quote yang paling aku sukai dan menjadi pedoman hidup aku: Rasullulah shalallahu ’alaihi wassalam bersabda, “Sebaik-baik manusia adalah yang bermanfaat bagi manusia lainnya” (HR. Ahmad, ath-Thabrani, ath-Daruqutni dihasankan oleh al-Albani didalam Shahihul Jami’ No. 3289).

Personally, I am really relieved listening to the story of Putri’s mom. This is where we have to be thankful for being able to live better - sleep well in a soft bed, have plates and spoons to eat, a stong roof and not leaking by the water when it rains, enough food, and more that we can be thankful for every day. It's time to open our eyes to help others, gengs. This is the quote that I love the most and become my motto of life: Rasullulah sallallaahu 'alaihi wassalam said, "“The best of human is he who beneficial to other humans" (Narrated by Ahmad, ath-Thabrani, ath-Daruqutni, al-Albani and shahih in al-Albani in Shahihul Jami’ no. 3289).

It;s time to say "Cu again"

Pukul 20.30, saatnya kami berdua berpamitan dan Bundanya Putri merangkai doa untuk kami, "Semoga rejekinya lancar, dimudahkan segala urusannya sama Allah. Amiin. Kapan-kapan main lagi kerumah Putri ya Miss. Bunda seneng ada temen cerita." Kami balas dengan kata inshaallah.

At 8.30pm, it was the time for us to leave and Putri’s mom made a dua for us, "Hopefully, Allah always gives you a good sustenance and always has an ease from Allah in all of your affairs. Amiin. Just visit by again ya, Miss. I am happy having a friend to talk to." We replied with Inshaallah.

Tetap Produktif ditengah Wabah (Stay Productive in the Midst of Outbreak) - Receh Kitchen

Hi Gengs, seperti yang telah kita ketahui bahwa diawal tahun 2020 ini, wabah virus Covid-19 mulai menyebar ke seluruh pelosok dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Segala protocol untuk memutus rantai penyebaran wabah digalakkan seperti jaga jarak fisik, penggunaan masker, sering mencuci tangan dengan sabun ataupun hand sanitizer, bahkan pemerintah menganjuran warganya untuk tetap berada dirumah.

Hi Gengs, as we all know that at the beginning of 2020, an outbreak of the Covid-19 began to spread throughout the world, including Indonesia. All protocols to break the chain of epidemics are encouraged such as maintaining physical distance, using masks, washing hands frequently with soap or hand sanitizers, even the government encourages the citizens to stay at home.

Sebagai seorang ekstrovert, berada dirumah sehari dua hari, tidak menjadi masalah, tapi tidak untuk berbulan-bulan seperti saat ini. Aku merasa seperti tahanan di bui yang mulai kehilangan jati diri. Otak mulai memberikan sinyal-sinyal negative dan hati mulai gelisah tak menentu. Ini nih yang paling aku tidak suka berada dirumah terlalu lama, tenaga terforsir untuk memikirkan hal-hal tak jelas ataupun hal-hal yang seharusnya sudah tak terfikirkan lagi. Terus, apa dong yang aku harus lakukan agar aku tetap produktif ditengah wabah ini?

As an extrovert, staying at home for one or two days is not a problem, but not for months as currently. I feel like a prisoner in jail who is starting to lose an identity. The brain starts to give negative signals and the heart starts to become restless erratic. This is one thing I don't like staying at home for too long, the energy is forced to think about things that are unclear or things that should not have been thought anymore. Then, what should I do to stay productive in the midst of this outbreak?

Wabah ini pun masih bertahan sampai dibulan Ramadhan. Bulan dimana seluruh umat islam merayakannya dengan penuh suka cita—berpuasa, berbuka puasa bersama, sholat bersama, membaca Qur’an bersama, dan euforia yang ditunggu-tunggu adalah mudik — berjumpa dengan keluarga setelah berbulan-bulan adalah suatu tradisi umat islam di seluruh belahan dunia. Dan dikarenakan wabah ini, kita harus tetap berjauhan untuk saling mendukung menghentikan rantai penyebaran covid-19. Sedih? Jangan ditanya lagi deh.

This outbreak still exists in the month of Ramadan. The month in which all Muslims celebrate with joy— fasting, breaking fast together, praying together, reciting Qur'an together, and the euphoria that we have been waiting for is going back to homeland—seeing family after months, is one of the Muslims traditions in all parts of the world. And because of this outbreak, we should stay far apart to support each other to stop the covid-19 widespread. Being sad? Don't ask again.

Say Hi to Receh Squad. Left to Right - Kak Gi, Miss Icha, and Gendatz

Receh Squad berencana untuk berbuka puasa bersama dihari Sabtu, 26 April 2020. Dikarenakan semua foodcourt hanya memberlakukan takeaway, akhirnya mereka memutuskan untuk bertandang kerumahku, memasak menu buka puasa bersama. Apa sih Receh Squad itu? Dan siapa aja sih yang jadi anggota dari Receh Squad ini? Receh Squad itu adalah kumpulan manusia-manusia kece yang suka berbagi cerita tentang hal-hal receh. Tunggu!! Kadang-kadang terselip juga obrolan “sedikit” berbobot seperti hari ini. Nah, anggota dari Receh Squad itu ada aku, Kak Gilar, dan juga Diky alias Gendatz—panggilan kesayangan kami untuk dia. Say hi to them.

Receh Squad planned to break the fast together on Saturday, April 26, 2020. Because of all the food courts only serve takeaway, finally they decided to visit my house, cooking an iftar menu together. What is Receh Squad? And who are the members of the Receh Squad? Receh Squad is three cool humans who like to share light stories. Wait!! Sometimes we also discuss a "little" heavy discussion as today. Well, the members are me, Kak Gilar and also Diky aka Gendatz — our favorite nickname for him. Say hi to them.

Kali ini kami bakal memasak rica-rica ayam yang pedesnya nampol dan dilengkapi dengan lalapan selada. Setelah selesei berbuka puasa dan sholat maghrib, keseruan berbagi cerita pun dimulai. Cerita receh yang penuh tawa seperti biasanya dan berakhir diskusi perihal dampak covid-19. Dampak yang sangat terasa adalah kehilangan keluarga yang disayangi dan juga perekonomian dunia yang makin memburuk sehingga terdampak pada banyaknya bisnis yang tutup dan banyaknya orang yang kehilangan pekerjaan.

This time we would cook spicy chicken rica-rica and prepare lettuce as salad. After breaking the fast and performing Maghrib prayer, the excitement of sharing the stories began. The light sharing which is full of laughter as usual and ended up into a discussion about the impact of covid-19. The most pronounced impact is the loss of the loved family and also the worsening world economy that has affected many businesses to close down and many people have lost their jobs.

Diskusi kali ini mengarah ke topik “Apa yang bisa kita bantu untuk mereka yang terdampak wabah?”. Secercah ide pun keluar dari otakku yang hampir mulai melemah ini – melemah karena bosan dirumah aja. Terjadilah percakapan antara kita bertiga:

Ms Icha : Gimana kalo kita jualan rica-rica ayam ini sebagai menu buka puasa? Labanya kita sedekahkan untuk mereka yang terdampak. (Nih otak kalo diajak diskusi perihal bisnis, langsung encer)

Kak Gi : Ide bagus tuh, Miss.

Gendatz : Nggak PeDe-lah kak.

Ms Icha : Gendatz, serius. Rica-rica yang dirimu masak ini enak beeeeet. Percayalah sama aku. Iseng-iseng aja ini, biar dirimu sekalian belajar berbisnis, sedekah tetep lancar, lebih PeDe lagi buat masak, dan tentunya biar kita tak bosan dirumah aja.

Dimulailah diskusi lebih mendalam tentang ide ini. Akhirnya, dengan label “Receh Kitchen”, kami memulai bisnis iseng ini. Aku sebagai Marketing Manager, Kak Gi sebagai Accounting Manager, dan Gendatz sebagai Chef dari Receh Kitchen ini. Mau tahu gimana kelanjutan kisah ini? Langsung scroll kebawah, ya gengs!! :)

The discussion led to the topic "What can we help for those who are affected by the outbreak?". An ideas came out of my brain which almost started to weaken - weakened because of boredom staying at home. There was a conversation among us:

Ms. Icha : How if we sell chicken rica-rica as an iftar menu? The profits will be given as charity to those affected by the outbreak. (This brain is working very well into a discussion about business)

Kak Gi : That's a good idea, Miss.

Gendatz : I am not confident with my cooking skill.

Ms. Icha : Gendatz, seriously. Rica-rica that you cook is really delicious. Trust me! This is just for fun, but you can learn also how to do business, keep doing charity, more confident for cooking, and of course we can kill the boredome at home.

A deeper discussion began with this idea. Finally, with the label "Receh Kitchen", we started this fun business. I am as a Marketing Manager, Kak Gi as an Accounting Manager, and Gendatz as a Chef from Receh Kitchen. Do you want to know how this story continues? Scroll down, gengs!!

Sebagai Marketing Manager, aku mulai membuat design dan mengunggahnya ke sosial mediaku seperti Instagram. In my opinion, social media remains the most efficient promotion media because almost all people must surf through social media, especiall the millennial. Receh Kitchen open PO untuk pertama kalinya di tanggal 1 Mei 2020 (Tanggal merah - Hari Buruh) dengan menu iftar: nasi pulen, rica-rica ayam, lalapan selada dan timun, kurma premium, dan juga lemon infused water dingin. Promosi dilakukan beberapa hari sebelum pengantaran dan Alhamdulillah satu per satu orderan datang sampai memenuhi kuota yang kami rencanakan. Lihat kan gengs, kehebatan dari sosial media. Tapi tetap harus bijaksana ya menggunakan sosial media.

Receh Kitchen opened PO for the first time on May 1^st, 2020 (Indonesian public holiday - Labor Day) with iftar menu: premium rice, chicken rica-rica, lettuce and cucumber as salad, premium dates, and cold lemon infused water. Promotions were done a few days before delivery and thanks to Allah that one by one orders coming until met the quota we planned. See gengs, the power of social media! But yes, you need to be wise to use your social media.

Some ingredients for iftar menu cooking

Di tanggal 1 Mei, pagi yang cerah saat itu Chef Gendatz bersama Marketing Manager aka Miss Icha, berbelanja di Pasar Pancur. Semua bahan yang dibutuhkan dimasukkan ke keranjang. Ngomong-ngomong, aku seneng banget ikutan belanja ke pasar pagi-pagi seperti ini; melihat sayur mayur, buah-buahan, daging yang segar membuat mata makin melek. Setelah berbelanja. kami bertiga mulai memasak dirumahku. Walaupun aku ini marketing manager, tugasku banyak banget; dari promosi, bantuin Chef belanja, jadi assistant dapur, food plating, bagian antar-antar juga. Tugas Chef Gendatz yang sesungguhnya adalah bantuin aku promosi, belanja, memasak, dan bagian antar-antar. Sedangkan kak Gi, jadi assistant dapur, bantuin plating, tim antar juga, bagian finishing untuk bersih-bersih dapur, hitung laba. Yang penting judulnya “Manager”. Hihihi. Ini nih enaknya bikin bisnis sendiri. Kapan lagi jadi manager kan yak, gengs?

On May 1^st, a bright morning, Chef Gendatz and Marketing Manager aka Miss Icha, doing groceries at Pancur Traditional Market. We bought all ingredients that we needed to cook. Btw, I was very happy to do groceries at traditional market in the early morning; looking at fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, which made my eyes freshen. Then, started cooking at my house. Even though I'm a marketing manager, I have a lot of work to do here; promotions, assisting Chef doing groceries, being Asst. Chef in the kitchen, food plating, delivery as well. Chef Gendatz's real job is to help me in promoting, doing groceries, cooking, and delivery. While Kak Gi, help me in promoting, being Asst. Chef in the kitchen, assisting me in plating, as delivery team as well, cleaning the kitchen, and calculating the profits. At least, we are titled as "Manager". LOL. This is one of the good reason to create your own business. It’s time for you to become a manager, gengs.

Impressive testimonial from Receh Kitchen's Customers and still a lot to capture

Pukul 17.30 WIB, kami bertiga menarik nafas lega karena semua pesanan terantar dengan selamat sampai tujuan. Waktunya, kami menyiapkan menu buka puasa kami dan segera melaksanakan sholat maghrib bergantian – harus bergantian karena rumahku kecil sekali, kalo kata ibuku “rumah susah selonjor”. Kak Gi sebagai Accounting Manager sudah sangat sigap untuk menghitung laba yang didapat hari ini dan kami bertiga berucap “Alhamdulillah”. Lelahnya terbayar. Ada kabar gembira lagi nih, hampir semua pelanggan memberikan testimoni yang cukup mengesankan tentang menu iftar ala Receh Kitchen. Disitulah, hati kami mulai kegirangan dan puas.

At 5.30pm, the three of us inhaled in relief because all orders were delivered to the customers. Then, we prepared our iftar menu and soon performed the Maghrib prayer one by one – we can’t perform it jamaah (Praying together) because my house was very small, even my mother said "Hobbit house". Kak Gi as an Accounting Manager has been very enthusiastic to calculate the profit earned today and the three of us said "Thank God". The effort were paid off. There was another good news, almost all customers gave impressive testimonials about iftar menu ala Receh Kitchen. In that point, our hearts began to cheer up and satisfied.

Batch #2 and #3 design

Permintaan untuk open PO mulai berdatangan dari para pelanggan kami dan kami memutuskan untuk open PO Batch #2 (ditanggal 7 Mei) dan Batch #3 (ditanggal 16 Mei). Alhamdulillah di Batch #2 dan #3 ini kami menerima orderan 3 kali lipat dari batch sebelumnya. Kami bertiga mengucapkan terimakasih kepada seluruh pelanggan setia dari Receh Kitchen. Insyaallah, kita akan berjumpa kembali setelah Hari Raya Idul Fitri. Tetap jaga keselamatan ya gengs! Peluk cium dari kami J

Our customers started asking us to open order again and we decided to open PO Batch # 2 (on May 7^th) and Batch # 3 (on May 16^th). Alhamdulillah in Batch #2 and #3, we received 3 times more orders than the previous batch. Receh Kitchen would like to thank all of Receh Kitchen’s loyal customers.
